Professional Dog Groomer (1 Yr Exp Required)

*Job Overview*We are looking for a part time Professional Dog Groomer. Sunday, Monday, Tuesday with Wednesday being optional.Groomer requirements:· At least 1 year of professional grooming experience.· Clear understanding of animal behavior· Ability to stand for long periods of time.· Ability to lift large dogs· Fantastic communication skills· Ability to do 6-8 dogs per day with a combo of Grooming and Bath dogs· Must have own equipment (Table, dryer, tubs, kennels & sharpening provided)Compensation will begin at 50/50, there is no hourly pay.You keep 100 % of your tips.Groomer responsibilities:· Dematting as required· Bathing and drying· Trimming nails (Both cut and Dremel)· Anal Glad expression· Grooming and styling according to owners’ instructions or standard grooming styles.· Suggest ideas to owners about what style may work best for them and their pet.· Accommodating special requests.· Identifying health issues such as: ear infections, skin conditions, dental issues, etc.· Making sure that all pets are safe while in our care.· Cleaning work area frequently.· Our admin team will provide scheduling.*Experience** Previous experience in pet grooming is required.* Skills in dog training, veterinary assistance, or animal care are highly valued.* Familiarity with dog handling techniques, animal restraint methods, and pet sitting is advantageous.* Experience working in a kennel or similar environment will be considered a plus.Join us in creating a positive experience for pets and their owners while showcasing your skills in pet grooming!Job Type: Part-timePay: $15.95 per hourExpected hours: No less than 18 per weekBenefits:* Employee discountCompensation Package:* 50% commissionSchedule:* Day shiftExperience:* Pet grooming: 1 year (Required)Ability to Commute:* Beaverton, OR 97007 (Required)Work Location: In person
