*8-Week Internship - Fall/Winter 2025**Fitness Coach/Trainer*Sullivan Personal Training LLC in Farmington, Missouri is looking for 2 individuals who are passionate about helping others, living a healthy lifestyle and are interested in advancing their career in the fitness industry by participating in our 8-Week Fitness Coaching Internship program. This internship will consist of daily job shadowing current staff, and daily hands-on clinics/lectures led by current staff and gym owners at Sullivan Personal Training.The 2 individuals chosen for internship will be completing all necessary prerequisites to become a part-time Fitness Coach at Sullivan Personal Training, *but there will only be 1 (one) part-time fitness coaching position available following the 8-Week Internship program*. All other applications will be assumed for the 8-Week Internship Program only.Internship participants will be required to be on site for job shadowing 5 days per week for a minimum of 3 hours per day, with the ability to choose your daily shift (am or pm) each week for the full two months. Additionally to the job shadowing hours, there will be approximately 3-5 hands on clinics and/or lectures each week that you will be required to be present for and ready to learn that will each take about 1 hour. In total, interns will be expected to be at the gym learning and working for at least 15-20 hours each week.*2 Positions Available:** *1 Part-Time Fitness Coach (following internship): *This individual must meet all Fitness Coaching requirements, and have completed the 8-Week Internship program.* *1 Fitness Coaching Internship (internship only):* This individual will be completing the internship program to advance their skill set and knowledge, while also positioning themselves as a great option for future employment with Sullivan Personal Training as a Fitness Coach.*Compensation:** $100/Week Stipend* FMS Level 1 - Mobility Certification Course and Training ($599 value) if currently Certified Personal Trainer (CPT)* Eligibility for future career development and opportunities at Sullivan Personal Training LLC and/or affiliated companies*Internship Key Responsibilities:** Shadow a minimum of 3-5 hours of coaching per day (3 day minimum)* Attend daily clinics on SPT Program Design using movement pattern based exercises with gym owner Kyle Sullivan* Make personal connection with clients & build trust with members* Become hands on with setting up and putting away equipment in gym* Learning operations and responsibilities of Head Trainer while on and off shift* Learn the New Client Onboarding processes and operations* Learn how to operate apps/software such as Bridge Athletic App, MindBody scheduling app, Inbody data tracking app, google drive, etc.…*Ideal Applicant(s):*The ideal applicant(s) for our part time Fitness Coaching position is a person who loves and lives fitness. They work well independently and are outgoing. They are customer service oriented and are skilled at providing a high quality experience for every person that walks into the gym. They’re skilled sales people, handle money and credit cards efficiently, and know how to connect with others. They are detail oriented and are able to multitask without stress and strain.The ideal applicant has 2+ years of experience exercising in a “gym like” atmosphere, some formal education of basic anatomy and physiology.
