*Title: *Seasonal *PCQI* (_Preventive Control Qualified Individual_)*Reports To: *Distribution Operations Manager*Location: *Dover, FL – Support to all East Coast Operations*Classification: *Seasonal*Hourly Pay: *19.25*ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY *Manages and implements food safety programs mainly at the Dover, FL facility, while providing support and follow-up to all 3PL and Grower-Managed operations across Florida (Jaymar, Sweet Life & Blue Hammock). Supports the cooler personnel related to the execution of Driscoll’s Food Safety Program. Supports the efforts of Independent Third-Party Companies to maintain the US GFS certifications of Driscoll’s Distribution Centers. Works closely with the national and regional Food Safety personnel to provide food safety training.As Driscoll's PCQI for Facilities- you will represent the company as the main point of contact for all food safety inspections and be responsible for ensuring all Driscoll's sites are always audit-ready. This includes oversight of record-keeping activities, implementation of corrective actions, SOP and policy updates, and confirming continuous compliance to regulatory standards, as well as Driscoll's policies, procedures, mission, and values.*JOB RESPONSIBILITIES** Oversees the Food Safety Plan* Validation of the preventive controls* Pest management program- manages relationships with vendors* Reviews records- sanitation, daily pre-operations, incoming/outgoing shipment checklist, swabbing results* Environmental monitoring implementation and execution* Oversees the maintenance and updating of organic binder with the most current documents (Organic Certificate and Profile, CDFA Registration, updates to Organic System Plan including pest control management, Pack Line, etc.)* Supports the completion of all 3rdparty audits; Primus GFS, Global Gap, and CCOF* Partners with the sanitation team and chemical vendor process management* Train the sanitation crew for proper cleaning and sanitation of operation equipment* Complete Hygiene Policy/GMP Training at the start of the season and periodic refreshers throughout.* Review chemical logs and SDS* Periodically walkthrough facility to ensure that Hygiene Policy/GMPs are being followed* Adhere to Safety and Food Safety practices* Communicate with Facility Manager, Organic Manager, Industrial Hygiene Manager and/or local Food Safety Representative for any equipment needs or concerns.* Working in a fast paced and metric driven environment while delivering on superior customer service* Other duties as assigned*CANDIDATE PROFILE*Requirements* Position demands a flexible work schedule; to include Overtime, Weekends, On Call, Day/Mid/Night Hours Shifts, and Holidays, including other work functions within Distribution for example: (Export, In-bound, Out-bound, Long Cane, Shipping Area)* Ability to travel in between seasons along Florida and support Driscoll’s own operations, as well as 3PL and Grower-Managed operations.* Experience in Food Safety, Food Safety Audits and Sanitation needed (1-3 years).* Ability to stand and sit for long periods of time, lift up to 50 pounds and work in cold environment* High school diploma or GED required.
