CNC Machinist

_CNC Machinist/Operator _*Job: CNC Machinist, First shift**Job Type: Full Time**BASIC FUNCTION: *Set up and operate a variety of CNC machines such as vertical and horizontal lathes to produce precision parts and instruments. This job is located in the Brownsville, PA area.*SKILLS:** Machine parts to specifications using machine tools such as lathes, milling machines, or grinders.* Measure, examine, and test completed units in order to detect defects and ensure conformance to specifications, using precision instruments such as micrometers.* Set up, adjust, and operate all of the basic machine tools and many specialized or advanced variation tools in order to perform precision machining operations.* Monitor the feed and speed of machines during the machining process.* Study sample parts, blueprints, drawings, and engineering information in order to determine methods and sequences of operations needed to fabricate products, and determine product dimensions and tolerances.* Lay out, measure, and mark metal stock in order to display placement of cuts.* Maintain industrial machines, applying knowledge of mechanics, shop mathematics, metal properties, layout, and machining procedure.* Program computers and electronic instruments such as numerically controlled machine tool* Confer with engineering, supervisory, and manufacturing personnel in order to exchange technical information.* Fit and assemble parts to make or repair machine tools* Set up and operate metalworking, brazing, heat-treating, welding, and cutting equipment.*EDUCATION/ EXPERIENCE** High school diploma or equivalent* 3-5 years’ experience is preferred*WORK ENVIRONMENT** Machine shop/manufacturing environment* Ability to stand for long periods of time* Some moderate lifting required* Repetitive hand and lifting tasks*We are an Equal Opportunity Employer and a Drug Free Work Place*Benefit Conditions:* Only full-time employees eligibleTypical end time:* 2:30 PMTypical start time:* 6:00 AMThis Job Is:* Open to applicants under 18 years old, provided it is legally allowed for the job and location* A job for which all ages, including older job seekers, are encouraged to applyWork Remotely* NoJob Type: Full-timePay: From $25.00 per hourBenefits:* 401(k)* 401(k) matching* Dental insurance* Health insurance* Life insurance* Paid time off* Vision insuranceShift availability:* Day Shift (Preferred)Ability to Commute:* Allison, PA 15413 (Required)Ability to Relocate:* Allison, PA 15413: Relocate before starting work (Required)Work Location: In person
