Sanitation Manager

We are looking for a Sanitation Manager to oversee the sanitation programs, processes, and systems within the plant to ensure compliance with company standards and regulatory requirements. This role involves supervising sanitation staff, coordinating with safety, production, and quality teams, as well as leading initiatives to maintain a clean and safe manufacturing environment. The position requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and a commitment to food safety and sanitation excellence.*Responsibilities** Oversee and maintain the Plant’s Master Sanitation Program, processes, and systems.* Supervise all sanitation/cleaning activities in the plant, including weekend shifts, ensuring employee safety.* Train, direct, and manager the sanitation staff, including hiring and performance reviews.* Coordinate with Production and Quality heads to address customer and regulatory issues.* Ensure plant preparedness for customers and regulatory inspections.* Lead and motivate plant employees towards sanitation and safety excellence.* Drive problem-solving initiatives using root cause analysis for sanitation issues.* Conduct thorough inspections of cleanings throughout and after Sanitation shift.* Assist the operations team in troubleshooting sanitation deficiencies.* Coordinate and update sanitation-related documents, forms, and logs.* Oversee the relationship with outside Pest Control and update the logbooks in QA.* Conduct zone inspections monthly to identify sanitation opportunities.* Conduct inventory of cleaning equipment/supplies needed and report low quantities and items to be ordered.* Ensure that all SDS for new chemicals are on file within the safety department and have been approved.* Ensure that the correct PPE is being worn as required by the SDS.* Report all safety concerns to the Safety Manager immediately.* Report any issues or concern that may impact food safety or quality to QA.* Actively participate in safety incident investigations.* Performs other related duties and responsibilities as needed to assist operations.*Required Qualifications** Minimum 5 years of sanitation experience, with at least 3 years in a managerial role.* Experience in a food manufacturing setting, with openness to meat processing and packaging.* Strong Knowledge base of the GHS Standards.* Relevant experience working in Sanitation required.* Ability to follow and enforce all appropriate safety standards in industrial cleaning.* High attention to detail, strong work ethic, work well in a team environment and communicate effectively.* Ability to lift 40lbs repeatedly and stand for entirety of shift.* Proficiency in MS Office suite.* Availability for weekend work occasionally and and flexible working hours.* Experience with Kronos preferred.* Bilingual in Spanish highly desired.*Work Environment:** 2nd Shift position – Hours from 10:00pm to 7:00am.* Shift will be spent standing.* Temperatures at or below 40° F.* Safety gear, personal protective equipment, and training is provided to limit known hazards* Production Floor environment includes the following:* Slippery floors* Cleaning chemicals* Industrial equipment* Sharp objects (knives, hooks, blades, etc.)*Benefits:** Health, Dental, Vision insurance* Company-provided Life Insurance and Short-Term Disability* 403B Retirement Plan* Paid Time Off* Paid Holidays* Employee Purchase ProgramJob Type: Full-timePay: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per yearBenefits:* 401(k)* 401(k) matching* Dental insurance* Employee discount* Health insurance* Life insurance* Paid time off* Retirement plan* Vision insuranceAbility to Commute:* Shelburne, VT 05482 (Required)Ability to Relocate:* Shelburne, VT 05482: Relocate before starting work (Required)Work Location: In person
