With a focus on safety, compliance, and infrastructure reliability, we are committed to maintaining high-quality living environments for our 8,200+ residents.We’re currently hiring a Licensed Wastewater Treatment Plant Operator to manage day-to-day operations at multiple wastewater treatment facilities. This is a hands-on, mobile role ideal for a proactive, licensed professional who enjoys autonomy, variety, and fieldwork.*Service Area*This is a mobile role serving multiple locations.Typical service area includes sites within 1.5 hours of Pittsburgh. Occasional travel outside this radius may occur for emergency support or special projects, but overnight travel is rare.*What You’ll Do**Plant Operations & Monitoring** Operate and monitor wastewater treatment plants, including small activated sludge systems, extended aeration systems, and packaged units.* Perform on-site testing, data logging, and system adjustments to ensure compliance with permits and performance goals.* Collect, analyze, and record water quality samples in accordance with regulatory requirements.*Maintenance & Troubleshooting** Conduct routine maintenance and diagnostics on pumps, blowers, valves, control panels, and other process equipment.* Identify and resolve system issues, coordinating with vendors or contractors for complex repairs.* Maintain accurate chemical inventories and place supply orders as needed.*Regulatory Compliance** Maintain detailed records, logs, and reports in compliance with local, state, and federal environmental agencies.* Assist in the preparation and submission of reports to the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection (PA DEP).*Emergency Response & On-Call Support** Respond to system malfunctions, alarms, and treatment upsets.* Participate in a rotating on-call schedule, typically one week per month, with backup support available from the broader infrastructure and vendor team.*Independent Field Role** This is a solo field position — no micromanagement or shadowing.
