IperionX is seeking a highly skilled Senior Advanced Manufacturing Technologist, with a strong emphasis on CNC Programming and Machine Operations, to join the team at IperionX's Titanium Manufacturing Campus in Halifax County, Virginia. In this role, you will be responsible for programming, setting up, and operating CNC equipment to produce precise titanium components. This position also supports innovative metal 3D printing operations and requires strong technical expertise, a problem-solving mindset, and a commitment to quality.*Requirements and Qualifications:** Associate’s degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical Engineering, or related field; or equivalent certification.* Minimum 3–5 years of experience in multi-axis CNC programming (setup and operation required) with the ability to create and optimize programs for complex parts.* Experience with metal additive manufacturing systems (SLM, EOS, or similar) preferred.* Strong familiarity with quality systems and inspection devices; proven ability to perform precise measurements.* Ability to read, interpret, and create detailed technical drawings and specifications.* Demonstrate expertise in machining and finishing precision metal components.* Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.* Analytical and problem-solving skills and a proven track record of troubleshooting and resolving complex manufacturing issues.* Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate with various departments to achieve common goals.Preferred:* Dynamic leadership abilities with deep technical expertise in additive manufacturing, CNC operations, and manufacturing processes.* Experience with CAD/CAM software; 5-axis machining, exposure to automation solutions; advanced understanding of additive manufacturing materials and processes.*Employment Responsibilities:**CNC Programming & Machining ** Program, set up, and operate Haas CNC mills and lathe, wire EDM, and other advanced machining equipment to produce titanium parts to exacting specifications.* Monitor, troubleshoot, and refine CNC programs to maximize efficiency, accuracy, and throughput.* Apply process optimization strategies to reduce cycle times and improve part quality.*Additive Manufacturing** Operate and maintain metal additive manufacturing systems (SLM, EOS, etc.) to support production needs.* Assist with finishing of 3D-printed components to meet customer specifications.* Support process improvements and document best practices for additive workflows.*Advanced Manufacturing Support** Perform inspections using advanced precision instruments to ensure parts meet strict quality standards.* Collaborate with engineering teams on continuous improvement and automation initiatives.* Conduct preventive maintenance and ensure all equipment operates reliably.* Review of finished machined and 3D-printed parts to precise customer specifications, documenting processes and proposing automation improvements for maximum efficiency.* Oversee inspections and measurements of finished parts using advanced precision instruments, ensuring adherence to rigorous specifications.* Adhere to and actively contribute to corporate safety regulations and initiatives.* Uphold and contribute to IperionX’s strong safety culture.*Benefits: ** Industry-leading medical, dental and vision insurance benefits * 401(k) plan and company match * Paid time off * Competitive pay and strong opportunity for career growth Prior to the start of employment, IperionX will conduct a background check and a drug screening.*About IperionX *Titanium metal is prized for its strength, light weight, and corrosion resistance.
