Business Development Manager - Solar & Storage

Opportunity for an experienced business development professional with a strong knowledge of the US solar & energy storage markets, to take on the role of BD Manager with a global renewable energy IPP. The Manager, Solar & Storage BD will be responsible for creating collateral and materials to facilitate utility-scale project and portfolio origination, while maintaining financial models, performing due diligence, market intelligence, and supporting with contract negotiations. The role is to be based in one of the company''s US offices (CA, CO, PA). Responsibilities: Develop customer RfP responses Support and participate in customer meetings and contract negotiations Develop materials to support ongoing customer discussions Lead financial modelling analysis to facilitate offtake origination bids Conduct market research, develop customer collateral, and prepare bid responses Collaborate with BD leadership team, Project Development, Project Finance, E&C, Interconnection and additional teams, to prepare and maintain project and portfolio financial models Develop business cases for opportunities, to be presented for board and investment committee consideration Requirements: Bachelor''s degree required; Master''s desired 4+ years'' relevant business development and/or sales experience, preferably within renewable energy industry Understanding of project fundamentals for renewables BD, PD, tax equity, back leverage, and construction debt Understanding of energy market structures and value streams Experience creating customer collateral and materials to support board or IC approval processes Understanding of utility-scale solar and storage development process Right to live and work in US, without sponsorship
