Tax Accountant (Level III)

Type: Fulltime (40 hours / week) contract Length: 1 year+ Pay: $31.60/ HR Based on Experience Shift/Hours: 9A - 5P Responsibilities for this Tax Accountant position include but are not limited to: This position involves the preparation of individual tax returns, utilizing original paper and digital documents provided by the clients, i.e., 1099''s, K-1''s, supporting items for deductions Organize the data quickly and efficiently and input into our tax software for review by permanent staff tax professionals Working directly with our internal staff in a professional, dynamic environment Preparing 1040 tax returns using GOSystem Tax RS Qualifications for this Tax Accountant position: Minimum 3-5 years current experience preferably with a CPA firm during tax season PTIN Certification required (validate) Must have CPA firm experience (H&R Block and similar type firms are not considered CPA firm experience) Proficient with MS Word, Excel and Outlook Proficiency with GOSystem Tax RS highly desired Excellent organizational skills and the ability to multitask Must be able to work independently Ability to switch between projects with ease Excellent communication skills Experience with Adobe PDF highly desired Experience with high-net-worth clientele preferred. Extensive and recent experience in the preparation of complex personal income tax returns (Form 1040) Experience with GOSystem Tax RS is preferred The position involves a strong working knowledge of tax return preparation and processing in a high-volume environment Must be able to work in a multi-task environment, managing multiple priorities while delivering results Many of our clients have sophisticated investments such as hedge funds, real estate partnerships and private equity investments, so a working knowledge of how these investments impact the tax return is helpful A degree in accounting and CPA certification is highly preferred Able to demonstrate effective oral and written communication skills Why work for Adecco?
