Cost Accountant Industry leader in Engineering Solutions Located near Red Bank, Tennessee COMPENSATION Competitive Salary DESCRIPTION The Cost Accountant will implement cost accounting processes and systems to guarantee exact recordkeeping, accounting, and recording of project budgets for management. RESPONSIBILITIES Outline, analyze, and sustain cost management system including inventory, labor and raw material procurements. Create and sustain a value-quantity-mix model. Utilize cost management procedures to afford solid internal controls. Prepare reports monthly to present revenue and deficits. Network with departments to collect feedback, determine difficulties, and resolve monetary issues. Manage physical catalogues and observe cycle calculation programs. Collaborate with higher level staff to pinpoint and dispose of out-of-date stock. REQUIREMENTS Bachelor''s Degree in Accounting, CMA or CPA preferred. At least 7 years'' experience. ERP system experience. Familiarity with GAAP and SOX Ability to competently prepare reports on a weekly, quarterly, daily, monthly, and annual basis. Microsoft Office skills: Outlook, Word, and Excel- advanced proficiency Understanding of activity-based cost processes and systems. Manufacturing and Engineering Industry experience necessary.
