The Parking Attendant ensures that the appropriate number of cars is kept on location throughout the shift, cars are being parked in an appropriate manner and the lot is kept clean and presentable. The parking Attendant also provides assistance to guests. Essential Duties& Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Direct incoming guests to available parking spaces.Control traffic at entrances and exits, as needed.Count vehicles on location throughout shift, as needed.Assist customers with electronic payment system, when necessary.Patrol parking lot on foot to observe parking conditions and identify potential safety risks.Courteously assist guests by answering questions or direct them to management, if necessary.Assist in the maintenance and repair of parking equipment and any general maintenance tasks as directed by the Facility Manager.Have a thorough knowledge of all areas of the parking lot, thorough knowledge of the major streets, landmarks and roadways in the area of the parking lot.Accurately document all insurance claims in a timely fashion.Assist with snow removal operations and address and /or report any safety hazards.Implement key Locking when lot reaches over capacity.Perform other duties as assigned by management.Knowledge, Skills & Abilites: Prior experience in parking operations is preferred but is not necessary.Accuracy and speed for executing assigned tasks and job munication skills are used frequently when interacting with other staff and guests.Reading and writing abilities are used to document or record all tasks completed, to receive instructions for the day or to read policies and procedures.Strong customer service skills and focus.Ability to exercise good judgement and self-control.Ability to prioritize responsibilities and be self-sufficient in slow periods.Must demonstrate enthusiasm, trustworthiness, personal integrity and honesty.Must be detailed oriented and have the ability to multi-task and meet job responsibilities in a fast-paced environment.Demonstrated ability to operate safely in the workplace.Ability to react and problem solve quickly.Ability to learn internal computer systems.Ability to work a variety of days, including nights, weekends and holidays.Ability to read, write, speak and understand English.License Requirement: Must possess a valid state-issued driver''s license with current address and acceptable driving record.Physical Requirement: include but are not limited to:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
