Job Description

The purpose of this position is to provide formal project management support to the Global Finance organization, in order to drive increased efficiency and effectiveness and execute on Tech Data''s priorities and initiatives. They would work with the Director of Strategic Planning to serve as the primary point of contact for major project rollouts pertaining to new processes or process revisions within the Global Finance organization. This position would monitor and communicate status of projects to various functional areas and members of the management team, interact with business partners and internal Tech Data contacts to streamline processes, and provide guidance and training to staff on new processes related to projects or process changes. Essential Duties & Responsibilities RequiredCollaborates with the Director, Strategic Planning to identify and prioritize value-added projectsDevelops cross-functional workplans, engages key stakeholders and coordinates and manages project planning, execution and reinforcement processesEnsures projects are thoroughly planned for and executed against, including scope, objectives, assumptions, requirements, risks (identified and quantified), project schedule, success factors and key milestonesUtilizes effective and efficient systems, tools and templates for project management processesIncorporates change management strategies and processes into project planning, execution and reinforcement phasesDevelops and manages all project materials and communications, including Project Charters, Steering Committee agendas and materials, status updates and Senior Leadership updatesIdentifies, assesses, resolves, and tracks issues impacting the project (scope, technical, risk, staffing, deliverables, and schedule)Manages the awareness creation of project initiatives, impacts and dependencies to all key stakeholders and impacted groupsAbility to effectively lead and manage cross-functional and cross-departmental teamsEstablishes and maintains positive working relationships across the entire organizationDemonstrates a thorough knowledge of finance department procedures, processes, systems and critical issues within each regionOther Duties & Responsibilities: Additional duties as assignedMeets attendance and punctuality standardsQualifications, Required Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities and Working ConditionsAble to recognize and attend to important details with accuracy and efficiency.Possesses a strong understanding of the Finance organization and the various departments within it (including FP&A, Accounting, Treasury and Tax)Able to communicate clearly and concisely in order to convey necessary informationAble to create and conduct formal presentations, on both a detailed and summarized levelAble to interact effectively with all levels of the organizationPossesses strong leadership skills with a willingness to lead, create new ideas, and be assertivePossesses strong organizational and time management skills, driving tasks to completion on-timeAble to constructively work under stress and pressure when faced with high workloads and deadlinesAble to manage multiple projects effectively, simultaneouslyAble to work independently with minimum supervisionAble to build solid, effective working relationships with othersExperience:3 to 5 years of relevant work experience within a Finance departmentFormal or informal project management experienceExperience working in a global organization a plusExperience with MS Project and Visio a plus Education & Certifications:Bachelor''s Degree in a Finance field of study preferredOther Education / Certifications: PMP, but not requiredWorking Conditions:Professional, office environment.Some travel required.Cultural Competency Requirements: Within Tech Data diversity is one of our fundamental shared values.
