Adecco has partnered with a growing organization located in Ann Arbor, MI who is hiring a Materials Manager. The Materials Manager will guide, direct, coach, and lead material handling personnel in a warehouse and production environment to work efficiently, safely, and effectively. This position will be responsible for warehouse organization, timely delivery of raw materials to production, and warehouse optimization. CORE FUNCTIONS Responsible for timely delivery of raw materials to the production floor. Provide guidance to Shipping and Receiving Supervisors, warehouse personnel, and production workers for all material handing relating to inventory, production, organization, 5S, TPM, FIFO, 3PL logistics, and suppliers. Develop supplier relationships for scheduling environmental waste, hazardous waste, and other material handling, as needed. Identify and improve processes and workflow for scanning, audits, efficiency, and time management, in both warehouse and production environments. Lead and direct employees in the areas of customer scheduling, maintenance, yard, and warehouse organization for efficient flow. Ensure the highest safety requirements are followed. Work with multiple departments to reach common organizational goals. These may include inventory control, production, shipping, receiving, supply chain, safety, security, purchasing, planning, scheduling, accounting. Responsible for maintaining optimal warehouse organization. Create and manage a warehouse shelf racking plan, MRO purchasing, efficiency models, and other equipment needs. Plan, direct, manage, and train warehouse management across multiple sites. QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS Education and Experience Associates degree in business or supply chain is required. Bachelor''s degree is preferred. 4+ years of related experience in supply chain/materials is required. 2+ years of leadership experience is preferred.
