Overview of the Accounts Payable Specialist role: Reviews invoices, makes copies of invoices and sends to appropriate departments for approval. Reviews all check requests, date-stamps, and invoices. Balances edits and approves batch; after approval, posts to AP system. Inputs all vendor invoices in system. Addresses employee and vendor inquiries regarding payments. Preferred Qualifications for the Accounts Payable Specialist position: Two years in Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable or a similar role. Ability to organize files and effectively retrieve data.
