What This Position is All About: Primary responsibility is partnering with our offshore team where guidance is required on payroll processing, payroll tax and system requirements with minimal supervision. Troubleshoots payroll issues, determines root cause and partners with the Payroll Team, IT, Store and HR business partners to develop proactive measures to achieve best practices and regulatory compliance. Responsible for system testing of system enhancements/fixes and will provide support and expertise in other project work. This role is being added to coordinate area responsibilities both internally to Payroll and externally to other business units. As The Payroll Analyst, You Will: • Research and resolve internal and external customer inquiries ranging from moderately complex to complex received via phone, email or fax in a timely manner. Communicating results while displaying courtesy, tact and discretion while also preserving confidentiality. • Independently performs analysis on payroll data issues and system defects; monitors and drives prompt issue resolution assuring accuracy of end to end payroll processing partnering with IT and escalating to management as necessary. • Manage the company garnishment and tax process with our partners at ADP • Ensures proper documentation of and adherence to payroll business processes. • Project manage and assist in documenting all system patches including Oracle, ADP and Vertex & oversee testing • Assists in collecting payroll operation benchmark metrics and track monthly reports/metrics to show trends and potential improvement opportunities. Effectively communicate results to management. Who You Are: • Possess a Bachelor''s Degree in a business related field or comparable Payroll experience. CPP designation preferred. • Must understand payroll fundamentals, policies and regulations. • Must have experience with reconciling financial records. • Must have 2-4 years of payroll experience. Experience in payroll conversions highly recommended. Retail experience is a plus, but is not required. • Must be proficient in advanced Microsoft Excel and Office. • Knowledge of the Workday payroll system a plus.
