DevOps Process Team Lead

Since 1969, we''ve led the industry in developing innovative technologies for recycling scrap into high-quality steels that are all around us, from bridges and buildings to cars and appliances.Basic Job Functions: Nucor Business Technology (NBT), is seeking a Development Operations Team Lead to work closely with our team of analysts and application developers. This position provides the successful candidate an opportunity to become a key team player offering leadership and technical expertise supporting Nucor''s global enterprise business solution. This position will assist in leading teams within NBT Services in release management and deployment automation of code and applications. Responsibilities: Manage day-to-day workload, efficiency, and prioritization for the team Communicate and work to resolve issues that interfere with meeting project goals Improve collaboration and consistency of the team through training, documentation, and system development activities Work with Supervisors and Project Leads to prioritize development activities and identify areas of automation and improvement Provide technical expertise and assistance with ERP, MES, and DevOps activities Defining and setting development, test, release, update, and support processes for DevOps operation Monitoring the processes during the entire lifecycle for its adherence and updating or creating new processes for improvement and minimizing the wastage Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times. Minimum Qualifications: Strong commitment to SAFETY in all job aspects 5 or more years of experience in, development, or related field with an emphasis on leading projects and teams Strong written and verbal communication skills Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor''s degree in Computer Science, IT, or related fields. Strong problem-solving skills. Basic understanding of FlexDeploy, Azure Pipeline, or other platforms for Continuous Integration, Continuous Delivery, and Release Automation Technical experience in administration of Jira or other software solutions for issue and project tracking Demonstrated ability to identify opportunities for process automation Working knowledge of waterfall and agile development methods Demonstrated technical leadership and influence Demonstrated ability to solve problems and improve processes This is a full-time, permanent position with the Nucor Business Technology team based in Dallas, TX.
