This is an excellent opportunity with a growing company that offers a competitive compensation and benefits package.Machine Shop Supervisor 1st Shift Cincinnati Gearing Systems is seeking a Shop Supervisor responsible for the supervision and daily operations. Responsibilities: Responsible for preplanning of work to be performed by department; based on the requirements of the production schedule. Responsible for the cost and quality of work performed. Identify issues in efficiency and suggest improvements. Manage department personnel. Assign work to subordinates based on capabilities. Determine and recommend training needs of personnel. Enforces company standards of conduct, work instructions, and company policies while maintaining morale among subordinates. Makes hiring and disciplinary recommendations, recommends wage increases, and conducts performance evaluations. Prepares and maintains work records, time records, attendance records, and quality records as required. May performs other administrative tasks. Performs other duties and responsibilities as required. Preferred Qualifications: High School diploma or equivalent desired. Minimum of 5 years related experience and/or training in supervision Ability to read and understand complex blueprints and specifications Knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 and IATF 16849:2016 procedures desired.
