Devops Engineer REQUIRMENTS:Strong Automation and DevOps experience (open to any amount of years - just wants someone GREAT)AWS experience - strong grasp with cloud computingUnderstanding of both cloud and on-prem environmentsStrong experience with GITSr. DevOps RESPONSIBILITIES: The Principal Engineer I is an advanced technical resource that provides technical leadership to the operations teams, effectively communicates issues and proposed resolutions to senior leadership, and uses vast knowledge and experience to continually improve the environment and protect the customer experience.Demonstrate architectural understanding of the Hub and Spoke model with focused on AWS networking.Exhibit an advanced understanding of Microservices and SOA architectureLeverage extensive networking-related experience working as part of a distributed engineering team, contributing to architecture, requirements, feasibility, and cost analysisUse advanced Unix/Linux Administration skillsUse advanced AWS administration and automation skills, specifically focused on AWS networking tools (TWG, Routing, as well as Secrets Manager, Inspector, Macie, WAF & Shield, GuardDuty, Detective, etc.)Leverage advanced experience in Terraform, Python or similar scripting language, solid understanding of IaC model.Leverage extensive experience with deployment automation/packaging/configuration in a large-scale production environmentDemonstrate advanced expertise around specifying, designing, documenting, and/or implementing networking tools and processes, performance, compliance monitoring tools, and software management tools for 24x7 environmentsUse advanced understanding of networking, load balancing principles and approaches to scaling out of systemsCreate work effort estimates for assigned tasks and support prioritization and release managementProvide ''on call'' support to resolve potential networking issues after normal business hoursUse established change management processes, requiring operational procedures be performed with minimal customer impact, (i.e. during established maintenance window)Create advanced documentation of systems configurations and upgradesBe a technical escalation for other operations team members on extremely complex and challenging environment or application networking issuesUnderstanding of public cloud security principles, and best practicesPerform other duties as requested by supervisor
