We are looking to add a full-time, day shift Lead Internal Patient Transporter - Ft/Days to our Internal Transport team. Position Summary:The Internal Transporter Lead assists management in leadership and motivation of Guest Services personnel to ensure that departmental and hospital policies and procedures are maintained. Demonstrates exemplary performance standards relative to customer service and productivity. Provides safe, dependable, and courteous transport services for all admissions, discharges, transfers, and morgues for the Grady Health System. Patient transport services will include the emergency room, patient care areas/units, ancillary departments, and clinics. Maintains and is responsible for all departmental equipment inventory (i.e. pagers, radios, wheelchairs, stretchers, transcarts, etc.).Position Responsibilities: Reports all policy/procedure violations or infractions by staff to management upon observation. Performs quality checks as requested by management. Observes quality and quantity of work of Guest Services Associates and relays this information to management. Provides instructional support as needed. Follows up on customer complaints and/or problems as requested by management. Assists management with the coordination of daily assignments and schedules for Guest Services Associates. Provides the Guest Services Associates assistance and guidance to ensure departmental/hospital performance standards are met. Assists with new employee orientation, training, and in-services. Functions in the capacity of the Guest Services Coordinator as/when needed. Adheres to and maintains compliance with all the essential job duties/functions of a Guest Services Associate. Is courteous and professional at all times. On a daily basis, properly uses AIDET. Performs other duties as assigned Position Qualifications High School diploma or GED required. One year of experience in a health care setting to include patient transporting is required. Must be well instructed on the maintenance and cleaning of transport equipment.
