Position is responsible for supervising a team of buyers, receivers and inventory control personnel in support of WeGos operational mission of providing safe and reliable bus and rail services. Will oversee the day to day operations of all personnel, part inventories and documentation to ensure compliance with all Federal, State and local laws. The Supervisor will handle the purchasing and efficient operation of the storerooms including parts ordering, receiving and tracking inventory and non-inventory items. Education and work experience: Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, Materials Management or related field, or an Associate Degree (two years college or technical school) and two (2) years of progressively responsible experience supervising inventory, preferably in a transit or similar operating environment. A viable combination of education, training and experience may be considered. Experience in the active supervision of a storeroom, utilizing leading edge material management techniques and knowledge of the inventory requirements of transit-related facilities and equipment, preferred. Experience in managing/supervising employees, preferably in a union environment. Proficient in the MS Office suite, including but not limited to, Excel, Word, Access and PowerPoint; Outlook email, Crystal Reports, Ron Turley software, or similar inventory and purchasing modules. Must have the abilities to learn new computer programs (software and applications). Participate and maintain active professional affiliations. Attend applicable training to support improved business practices. This position is exempt and reports to the Procurement Manager.
