Water/Wastewater CAD Designer

Ardurra seeks a Water/Wastewater CAD Designer to join our team in Miami, FL. Primary Function Candidate would use CAD equipment/software to provide support to engineers by preparing civil and mechanical exhibits for reports and drawings for construction. Specific drawing types would include routine site plans, plan layouts, section views, plan and profiles, supporting details, mechanical piping and assemblies, sketches, and schematic diagrams. Project types for which drawings would be developed include utilities construction (primarily water, wastewater, and reclaimed water) associated with civil development or municipal projects, civil/structural/mechanical improvements to treatment facilities or industrial projects, etc. Details to include all views and dimensions necessary for construction. Primary DutiesResponsible for the design of CADD plan layouts and drafting requirements of any project assignedResponsible for the record keeping and documentation of project requirementsResponsible for plotting and checking drawingsMake required modifications to drawingsCandidates should have a solid understanding of drafting techniques and familiarity with engineering terminology and construction drawings.Candidate should possess civil/mechanical aptitude with ability to complete basic mathematical calculations. The level of design decisions and responsibility required of the candidate will be based on their level of experience and familiarity with the type of projectTechnical capacity and ability to visualize civil, structural, and mechanical elements in 2-D viewpoints based on limited 3-D alternative views, and vice versa.Good communication & collaboration skillsProblem solving and analysis skillsAbility to project the time required to meet goals, manage time available and prioritize production based on deadlinesResponsible for batching sets of drawings and associated documentationAssistance with production development, including the printing and binding of plans packagesAssisting in establishing/improving CADD standards and utilizing these standards to minimize hours requiredWill perform other duties as may be assigned by Project ManagerEducation and Experience RequirementsAssociates degree in drafting & design preferred but not required, High School diploma or equivalent7+ years of Civil/Mechanical drafting experience using AutoCAD; ideal candidate will have 15+ years of experienceKnowledge and experience with AutoCAD 2013 or greater, Civil 3D a plusKnowledge of MicroStation and Revit a plusKnowledge of ArcGIS a plusStrong Computer Skills (MS Word, Excel, Teams, etc.)Ability to effectively communicate, in English, both verbally and in writingAn attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our company culture is a mustWhy Ardurra?
