About Bonaventure Founded in 1999, Bonaventure is a vertically integrated asset management company specializing in multifamily real estate development and management. We are seeking a Fixed Asset Accountant to join our team. You will be responsible for recording the cost of fixed assets, tracking fixed assets, recording depreciation and accounting for the sale and usage of fixed assets. This is an outstanding career opportunity for a professional to assume accounting responsibilities at a growing, entrepreneurial asset management firm, with a focus on multifamily real estate development and management.Responsibilities: Compile and analyze financial information in preparation for entry into various financial statements and accounting reportsReviews budget, revenue, expense, invoices, and other accounting documents and researches and resolves discrepancies as necessaryAnalyzes and reviews accounting and financial resources for property acquisitions, dispositions, and closings and budgets and expenditures for local, state, federal, private funding, contracts, and other corporate financial and accounting municates with on-site and other property managers to assist in completing pre-close and close activities, answer questions, provide support, and ensure timely completion of accounting processes for on-time client and Company reporting.Acts as liaison to internal and external auditors by explaining journal entries and financial transactions, providing research data and information as requested, and answering questions necessary to complete the audit in a timely manner.Review and update the detailed schedule of fixed assets and the accumulated depreciation.Conduct periodic impairment reviews for intangible assets.Track company expenditures for fixed assets in comparison to the capital budget and management authorizations.Reconciliation of fixed asset subsidiary ledger to the general ledger. Professional judgment of capitalization or expense of purchases.
