Discover more about us at This position is eligible for a $5,000 sign-on bonusResponsibilities: The Manager of Product serves as a trusted partner to the Exchange Segment President and is responsible for creating and maintaining AHC''s ACA ongoing product portfolio for all service territories to be competitive in the exchange market and align to enterprise and segment goals. The Manager is responsible for all phases of the end-to-end product development life cycle, from state and federal policy interpretations, product development ideation, price positioning, benefit and network composition to introduction into the marketplace, by defining product portfolio strategy and designing plans to meet targeted customer needs and achieve specific cost and success outcomes. The Manager acts as champion for delivering consumer experience consistent with AHC''s Brand guidelines, evaluating and recommending network changes of alternative networks and care delivery, and leveraging internal solutions like population health management, care/case management and care navigation to improve AHC''s competitive positioning and cost to serve. Once the plans are launched on the exchange, the Manager monitors plan performance, competitive positioning, gathers stakeholder feedback to ensure the ACA product portfolio is meeting segment goals and objectives, and adjusts plan design and product portfolio over time to achieve desired outcomes. The Manager of Product provides leadership to the Product Submission Lead for the annual cross-functional state filing and QHP submission process, coordinating with internal and external stakeholders through certification. In collaboration with the Product Submission Lead, the Manager of Product coordinates with operations and sales staff/sales channel partners on annual product configuration and validation of product and rate content across sales channels. The Manager is responsible for establishing review processes to ensure that products meet regulatory requirements based on essential health benefit requirements, actuarial value standards, and benchmark plans. The Manager of Product works on topics of complex scope, requiring the exercise of independent judgement, the application of subject matter expertise with limited oversight, and evaluation of multiple competing factors across functional areas. The Manager must be integrated with and aware of business cycles and landscape and advises executives to develop functional strategies (often exchange segment-specific) on matters of significance to the business. The Manager''s contributions will have an impact on the growth, cost, and customer satisfaction of the Exchange segment. The Manager of Product manages the work efforts of small to medium teams, capable of delivering on several tasks simultaneously within tight timeframes.Manages internal product lifecycles:Medium/complex scope in multiple geographiesManages segment financials including business impact:Provides accurate performance reporting and forecasting to management.Manages stakeholder relationships:Manages business-critical stakeholder relationships.Manages business team:Supervises the work of full-time employees and contractors of a team size of less than 10 people.Provides performance feedback on direct reports. Education/Experience:Bachelor''s Degree.Background managing member-facing insurance products and working with cost estimation/AV calculation tools.Detail oriented ability to work in "gray areas" towards a solution.Strong organizational and communication skills along with the ability to communicate with all levels in the organization.Demonstrated ability to learn and apply the learning in a business environment. Ability to communicate business and financial analytics and reports across disciplines and to senior executives.Proven ability to work across organizations and rapidly gain / build trust with stakeholders.Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint and Visio.3-5 years or more of experience in product launch and execution, and product portfolio management; 2+ years of Project Leadership experience and/or experience with commercial business and healthcare policy and regulations preferred.Demonstrates a strong working knowledge of key health plan business functions and capabilities, CMS and state healthcare regulations, operational policies, processes, and methodologies applicable to health plan product development and ongoing operations.Must be willing to travel up to 25%This position is teleworker eligible BackShareApply Now
