Lead Case Aide Sunday and Monday 3p-11pCase Aide Friday 3p-11p Mission Statement: Bay Cove Human Services partners with people to overcome challenges and realize personal potential.Job Summary:The Lead Case Aide serves as a member of the Direct Care Team. The Lead Case Aide works in partnership with the program''s multidisciplinary team and community partners to ensure and maintain a clean, safe and supportive environment for the unit. In this role, the Lead Case Aide is responsible for upholding he trust, respect and accountability among the Case Aide staff and the program. The program''s mission is to provide comprehensive medical detoxification, clinical stabilization and aftercare planning for adults with substance use disorders and possible co-morbidities, in a respectful and compassionate manner, through individualized medical, psychological and educational interventions. The Lead Case Aide supports this mission by fulfilling the duties as stipulated in the job summary. This is a non-exempt position.Supervisory Responsibilities: Assists in the recruitment, interviewing, hiring and training of Case Aids and Driver/Maintenance personnelAssists the Case Aide Manager in planning monthly time schedules for Case Aides and Drivers/Maintenance personnelEssential Functions of Position: Supervises the general operations of the program according to policies and procedures Ensures accountability on the unit, serving as a lead staff during shift Provides job specific orientation to newly hired Case Aides, Driver/Maintenance personnelMonitors all rooms on the unit including bedrooms, bathrooms, group/recreation areas to ensure patients are safe and respond timely in critical situations Immediately address disruptive and suspicious behaviors among patients; alerts staff (Nurses, Case Aides, Managers) on all occurrences and notify law enforcement to issues/disturbances that warrants their intervention Substitutes as Case Aide or Driver/Maintenance in scheduling emergenciesServes as a member of the program orientation team for new Andrew House employeesServes as a member of the program management team and participate in weekly management meetings and monthly staff meetingsProvides general unit maintenance/organizing, including carpentry, minor plumbing and electrical, moving, cleaning and painting Supports with ordering and stocking of maintenance and cleaning supplies Serves as liaison between Andrew House and the Bay Cove''s Property Department Performs other duties as assignedRequirements for the Position:Professional Qualifications:High school diploma or equivalentAt least two years of experience working in a substance use and/or mental health setting Experience in human services, security and customer service work strongly preferredBasic computer skills and data entry skillsKnowledge of general carpentry, familiarity with plumbing and electrical work preferredValid Massachusetts Driver''s license and good driving recordPersonal Qualifications:Ability to follow regulations pertaining to confidentiality of client records and treatmentAbility to work independentlyAbility to work collaboratively with other professionals and vendorsAbility to cope with stressful situationsDependable and reliableAbility to work with substance use and mental health patients in a respectful, compassionate and supportive mannerAbility to maintain proper boundaries with clienteleAbility to teach, guide and direct staff in responsibilities as Case Aide or Driver/MaintenanceA COVID-19 vaccination is a requirement of the position. One COVID-19 shot is acceptable, contingent on the individual receiving the second shot within theallotted time frame.Physical Qualifications:Must be able to lift 25lbs.Must be able to fully participate in the Bay Cove CPI and CPR trainings
