ADE Software Engineer for C++/Linux/Agile Location: Greenville, TX (75402) Job ID: 62707 Pay Rate: $BOE Active Secret Clearance This engineer would be working daily with members from multiple software engineering teams to develop software utilizing the C++ programming language in a Linux environment working on an Agile Development Engineering team. Major functions:Essential Functions: • Must have strong C++ programming skills, including experience with modern debuggers and version control system support. • Must have strong experience utilizing Object Oriented design methodologies. • Must have a good working knowledge of the Linux Operating System (Red Hat). • Must have excellent communication skills and be able to create and maintain strong working relationships. Technical/Functional skills:Qualifications: • Must hold active DoD Security clearance at the Secret level, at minimum • 4+ years of software development with an object oriented programming language (eg C++, C, Java) • 4+ year(s) of professional experience with a software development process (Agile, Waterfall) • Contribute in all phases of the development lifecycle • Able to write well designed, testable, efficient code • Able to ensure designs are in compliance with specifications • Able to prepare and produce releases of software components • Able to support continuous improvement by investigating alternatives and technologies and presenting these for architectural review • Able to learn new things quickly and rapidly prototype. Education/Experience/Licenses etc.:• Requires proficient knowledge of job area typically obtained through advanced education combined with experience. May have practical knowledge of project management. • Requires Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related Bachelor''s Degree and minimum 4 years of prior relevant experience • Or 2 years post-Secondary/ Associates Degree and a minimum of 8 years of prior related experience • Or Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related experience Preferred Additional Skills: • Experience with Agile methodologies to include using the Jira tool • Some experience with Python is desired • Some experience with SQL and database architecture is desired • Some experience with Docker containers is desired • Some experience with Kubernetes is desired. • Some experience with java is desired. • Some experience with Gradle is desired. • Some experience with Git is desired. • Some experience with network programming (TCP/UDP) is desired. • Experience with a variety of software development environments and tools • Soft Skills and Attitude: Able to work with flexible goals or shifting scope; Able to be self-directed and work in team environments. ____________________________________________________________________ Butler America Aerospace, LLC. is proud to provide an equal opportunity workplace and be an affirmative action employer.
