Sr. Mfg Equipment Maintenance Technician

PDS Tech, Inc. is seeking a Sr. Mfg Equipment Maintenance Technician in Lenexa, KS.Position Summary: Sr Mfg Equipment Maintenance Technician for day shift will report directly to the Maintenance Equipment Supervisor along with daily directive from the shift Maintenance Lead and assist in the oversight of maintenance activities on day shiftThis position will be responsible for addressing emergency maintenance issues throughout all work streams of operations with the goal of achieving scheduled daily production levelsThis position will also be responsible for maintaining on time completion of assigned PMs along with general WO requests including repairs, modifications and fabrication projects Key Responsibilities: Support daily manufacturing, filling and packaging operations thru online troubleshooting and repair to maximize operations OEETroubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic systems as requiredExecute preventative maintenance and general repair work orders as scheduledFabricate minor replacement/repair parts as needed within maintenance machining/welding shopAssists in analyzing and correcting problems encountered during Maintenance work to ensure work is performed according to SOPsHave daily touch base communications with Maintenance Lead regarding shift-to-shift transfer informationProvide feedback to supervisor/engineering regarding equipment condition and provide recommendations for improved reliability planWork with engineering department to develop capital equipment needs and support new equipment installationsOvertime as required to support extended production schedules Working Conditions/Physical Requirements: Manufacturing environment subject to dust, heat and noise conditionsStanding for extended periods of time, including bending and twistingWalk or standing up to 6 hours at a timeMust be able to lift 50 poundsMust be able to maneuver up and down laddersClean room gowning will often be requiredEnsure safety of employees and comply with all health and safety policies/guidelines Required Skills/Qualifications: Strong mechanical aptitude and technical skill to work with minimal supervision within established proceduresKnowledge of industrial control wiring systemsStrong customer service skills and ability to use input from equipment operators to develop a strategy for repairsExcellent communication skills, both oral and writtenVocational technical certification or minimum five years related job experienceHigh School Diploma or GED required Preferred Skills/Qualifications: Process automation control experiencePowered industrial equipment operation trainingWelding/machining aptitudeTraining and experience with safety programs such as lockout/tagout, hot work, confined space, elevated work, etcStrong computer skills to utilize Microsoft Office, corporate applications and maintenance work order software system Other Job Requirements: Adhere to OHSA policies and procedures and ensure a safe and healthy workplace environment PDS Tech, Inc. is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
