We are seeking a highly motivated part-time Accounting Clerk to manage the company payables and receivables. Success in this position requires a well-rounded & detail-oriented individual with exceptional organizational skills. The Accounting Clerk will work closely with the accounting staff, account managers, schools, and report directly to the Accounting Manager. This position is Monday - Friday with approximately 20-30 hours per week. Duties/Responsibilities: Accounts Payable Work with internal groups to coordinate the approval of invoices Input invoices in and QuickBooks Review and reconcile invoice discrepancies Prepare bi-monthly vendor payments Address and respond to vendors and check inquiries Accounts Receivable Prepare and distribute monthly invoices to schools Reconcile monthly invoices between QuickBooks and Sales log Ensure timely collection of receivables Record incoming check payments in QuickBooks and Revenue log Month End Prepare month end account reconciliations Manage expense report approval Required Skills/Abilities: Experience with QuickBooks desired but not necessary Proficient Microsoft Office knowledge and Excel skills Strong time management and organizational skills Knowledge of basic accounting principles High degree of attention to detail Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks Strong analytic abilities Education and Experience: High School Diploma and Associate or Undergraduate degree in Accounting preferred 1+ years'' experience with accounts payables/receivables or general accounting
