Senior Accountant

Senior Accountant needed with full service, global aircraft leasing company! This position will be reporting to the Head of Accounting and Operations. The ideal candidate will be an individual with experience in accounting close procedures and financial statement preparation. Primary Responsibilities: Prepare monthly and quarterly account reconciliations and record journal entries Assist in the preparation of internal and external financial statements and reports Coordinate auditor requests for quarterly reviews and year-end audits Present information to management in concise manner and work with individuals at all levels within the organization Identify and streamline needed controls and process improvements that will facilitate appropriate financial reporting Required Qualifications: Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with strong attention to detail Strong quantitative skills and analytical problem-solving skills Advanced knowledge of PC applications, including extensive knowledge of Excel and the suite of MS Office programs Professional Experience/Qualifications: Education: BS/BA in Accounting, Finance, or Economics - CPA preferred; MBA a plus 3+ years of experience in public and/or private company financial reporting Language: Fluency in English; additional languages a plus Strong knowledge of financial services, aviation or leasing preferred
