Creative Financial Staffing is working with a well established Chicago based company to identify a Corporate Controller. The company in the logistics and transportation sector and is seeing a large uptick in business as a result on Covid-19 since they provide transport for many essential items to major retail chains. Company is a sustained bell weather and positioned to continue to optimize their market position and value proposition. Duties of the Corporate Controller: Preparation of GAAP financial statements and supplemental financial reports for private equity (PE) owners, bank lenders, and Executive management. Management of all treasury and cash activities including borrowing funds, wiring of funds approval, etc. Lead the accounting team by bringing the technical know-how to interact and interface with auditors and continue to develop the accounting team. Interact effectively with all department leaders within the company, this role needs a desire to deepen relationships with internal and external partners of the organization. What Qualifies you for the Corporate Controller Role? Detail orientated ability, but also having the big picture in mind and the ability to present financials to owners. Systems savvy abilities with Excel and middle to large size ERP systems. Proven ability to design, implement, and lead process improvements. Microsoft Dynamics GP, or a larger ERP System such as SAP Big 4 or Mid-Tier Public Accounting experience, a CPA Knowledge of the following industries: Logistics, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, Distribution industries desired. Big 4, Auditor, CPA, GAAP, Public Accounting, SAP, Great Plains, Microsoft Dynamics GP Total Cash Compensation: ~ $180 K + : Salary + Bonus
