This team member will evaluate and adapt current payroll processes to meet the growing needs of the organization and work to create long-term strategies for continuous improvement in payroll operations."¯This individual will foster relationships with various internal stakeholders and performs a variety of payroll functions including payroll project management, reporting & analytics, communications, and compliance. This position is also responsible for ensuring that the Company''s payroll processes and procedures are in compliance with current local and federal regulations.You will make a difference at Everside Health by:Manage the daily operations of Everside''s Payroll team to ensure alignment with departmental and organizational objectivesOversee payroll operations, ensuring accurate and efficient multi-state payroll processing of transactions for salaries, benefits, garnishments, taxes and other deductionsIdentify recommendations to scale processes and enhance payroll operational efficiency including the design and implementation of internal controls, maintaining payroll policies and proceduresDirect, audit, and advise on best practices for payroll procedures to include earnings, garnishments, tax withholding, pay integration with state agencies as necessary, etc.Oversee large integration and consolidation efforts within a M&A environmentCollaboratively work with cross-functional leadership team as well as with outside vendors to develop and launch new processesProject lead for payroll related projects, including continuous development of processes that are scalable and support the company''s growthOversight of escalated research and response to payroll inquiries, including taxes and tax notices, deductions, wage withholding and other applicable payroll dataDevelop and oversee controls to ensure accuracy, accurate reconciliation, and payment of deductions and benefitsPerform analysis, generate reports and assist the HR and Finance team with special projectsAudit payroll reports to review and work with the accounting and HR team to ensure financial recording is accurate and assists with month, quarter and year end reconciliations as neededDevelop and maintain strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, building a reputation as a credible and trustworthy partner to successfully influence, facilitate change initiatives and drive buy-in at all levels and all areas of the organizationEvaluate, develop, and implement company-wide payroll processes with multi-state payrollManage Payroll Implementation ProjectOversee annual payroll tax reconciliation and compliance with filing returns and W-2 issuingDevelop audits to support payroll integrity within HR systemsOversight with the month-end close processes including accounting, payroll close reporting packages, account reconciliations and journal entriesEnsures compliance with federal, state, and local payroll, wage, and hour laws and best practices.Oversight for process documentation and user guides.Responsible for accuracy of all payroll processing for more than 1000 teammates in over a multi-state, multi-site environmentWhat we''re looking for from you:Bachelors degree in Accounting, Business Administration, or related field required.Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) and Certified Equity Professional (CEP) license5+ years'' experience managing and leading a payroll department, including supervision and hands on responsibilitiesAt least 10 years of experience with in-house management of payroll processing for a multi-state environmentStrong knowledge of UKG and WorkdayKnowledge of Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) ComplianceExperience with Integration, Mergers & Acquisitions, and ComplianceExperience in Payroll System Implementations, preferably into WorkdayWorking experience and knowledge of payroll taxes at the federal, state and local levelsFoundation of HR fundamentals used to identify and solve problemsProven track record of building relationships at all levelsWant to make a difference in your role by fulfilling our values of Patients First, Courage, Ingenuity, Fun, and CommunityPassion and energy for what you do and make it contagious to the people you work withDrive to take ownership for the development and cultivation of strong internal and external relationshipsWant to have fun, laugh, and enjoy where you workComfortable making adjustments and changes on the fly with a positive and collaborative attitudeWhat We Offer You:Compensation: Salary of $100k - $130k; actual compensation offer to candidate may vary from posted hiring range based upon work experience, education, location and/or skill levelBenefits: Medical/Dental/Vision Insurance, STD/LTD, 401(k) + match, HSA or FSA, Everside Health Membership, and much more.Paid Time Off: Starting at 15 days per year + 9 paid Holidays + Floating Celebrate Diversity DayStart Date: November 2021Schedule: Monday- FridayLocation: Remote
