The Director of HR Operations will have the accountability of planning, organization and control of all operational Human Resource activities and providing HR Divisional consistency for all Americas sites, as well as serving as the primary business partner for operational leadership. He/she will be responsible for assisting in the development and driving of Americas Divisional HR strategies, policies and practices to achieve consistency and alignment of purpose in the Americas. Areas of focus would include Workforce Planning, Employee Relations, Labor Relations, Environmental/Health/Safety, Workers Compensation, AAP/EEOC and HR Compliance. This position will play a key role in mentoring/counseling the Americas site HR departments to achieve these goals (includes EHS). The role will participate in global Hay job evaluation process. The position also provides acquisition integration coordination/special strategic projects and support as needed, to include leader assimilation, integration planning and execution. The Director of HR Operations Will Provide the Following Key Accountabilities: Divisional - HR Leadership: Accountable for the planning, organization and control of Human Resource activities. Develop, nurture and implement change management processes to deliver business improvement results. Participate in Strategy development as a member of the HR SLT and oversee strategy execution. Participate in Operational and other leadership forums as principal business partner. Build effective business partner relationships. Recommend and design strategic org changes and participate in the Global Hay job evaluation process (C Committee). Divisional - Employee Relations: Oversee Employee Relations for all Americas'' sites. Assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining strategies that enhance a positive relationship between the organization and its employees. Implement processes that gather from employees the necessary information to successfully enhance employee relations. Counsel Management on handling personnel issues. Divisional - Staffing: Ensure that all Americas HR departments are providing proper support to the organization, staffed properly and trained in company policies. Divisional - Generalist: Guide the implementation of corporate HR programs to ensure compliance with laws and regulations within the division. Adapt corporate HR policies and programs to the specific needs of the division. Ensure consistency of policies across the Americas'' locations and realize process improvements on reporting and policies. Site will exceed an established baseline of foundational support. Divisional - Operational competitiveness: Ensure proper wage surveying process in place and managed consistently as part of our strategic workforce planning process. Ensure proper implementation of Collective Bargaining Agreement and will play a strategic role in the contract negotiation process to include proper preparation, benchmarking, documentation, education and communication of the Company''s position. The Successful Director of HR Operations Must Meet the Following Minimum Qualifications: Bachelors'' Degree required in HR or related field; Master''s Degree preferred. 10+ years of HR experience. 5 years HR leadership experience. 7-10 years of various level of employee relation skills Multi-site experience preferred.
