Job Description Provides leadership to the Client Services team in direct support of commercial activities, client data base, receiving customer requests, preparing quotations. Participates in defining customer services standards and communicating to team and stakeholders Improves customer service quality by studying, evaluating, and re-designing processes, if needed Supervises or takes direct charge of strategic client programs and provides project management, as such provides same day-to-day work as direct reports Leads department quality compliance program, oversees quality documentation (SOP) library Subject Matter Expert for Client services processes - understand processes and business rationale behind them to suggest process improvement while staying in line with corporate business rules and goals Serve as a mentor to other team members to provide guidance as needed Participate in management level discussions on global processes (new and improving old) Participate in lean performance and performance management improvement initiatives Supports department training program, leads training and curriculum development Serves as point of contact for BDs for resolution of matters that require escalation from the team Collaborates with marketing on customer-facing documentation to correct/update communication Coordinates client services projects and initiatives regionally or globally Ensures workplace safety by following Company''s safety policy and ensuring department compliance Provides support to Market Development and Custom Assay Development team on custom development activities Demonstrates and promotes the company vision Regular attendance and punctuality Owns the accountability and responsibility of delivering to client needs and timeliness Provides cross-functional support to other departments as required Adjusts work hours as needed to meet client deadlines Performs other duties as assigned Qualifications Basic Minimum Qualifications (BMQ): To perform this job successfully, the individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements below are representative of the knowledge, skill or ability required. Education/Experience (BMQ): Bachelor''s degree in a relevant field (Business, Communications, Marketing, Science) Minimum of three years'' customer service experience, and in-depth knowledge of customer service principles and practices in a related industry Equivalent combination of education and experience Ability and/or Skills (BMQ): Leadership, consistency, transparency, strong client service & quality orientation Ability to embrace change and demonstrate commitment to continuous improvement Self-motivated, highly organized, accurate, and detail oriented Fast-learner, and demonstrates critical/strategic thought leadership Excellent oral, telephone, and written communication skills Good listener and proactive team player Ability to multi-task and deliver under tight deadlines Pro-active problem solving capabilities Demonstrated leadership aptitude and desire to lead others Additional preferences: Experience supervising or leading teams in a client services role Experience supporting client services in an organization with technical/scientific services Experience supporting a global cross-cultural organization, bi-lingual language skills is a plus Additional Information Candidates currently living within a commutable distance of Fremont, CA are encouraged to apply.
