Accounting Manager

About the Company and Opportunity:• Our client is a growing Retail E-commerce company in the Northwest Suburbs looking to add a tech savvy Accounting Manager to their team• This individual will be responsible for full cycle Accounting. This position will make a major impact and report to the President.• They offer excellent benefits, including 401K match, healthcare, and work/life balanceOverview of the Accounting Manager:• Oversee billing, financial statements, the general ledger, payroll journal entries (payroll outsourced), accounts payable, accounts receivable, sales tax, compliance/payment, and similar functions of the company• Manage the monthly financial close activities, ensuring accurate, timely and financial reporting• Drive the development and implementation of strategies to improve accounting operations efficiencies, effectiveness, and scalability, including policies, processes, and system changes• Comply with all local, state, and federal laws regarding finances, tax filings, and reporting• Organize information and statements for audits• Assist with new accounting system upgrades and platform changes for a growing company.• Year-end accounting - implement journal entries as dictated by our outside accountants Preferred Qualifications for the Accounting Manager:• Bachelor''s Degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline • 5+ years'' experience in preferably in e-commerce but open to all industries• Experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central a must• Intermediate with Excel
