Summary The Staff Accountant will be responsible for a variety of accounting functions including month, quarter and year end close and financial reporting and assist with budgeting and forecasting. The company is looking for someone who will thrive in a high growth and entrepreneurial environment who will help drive innovative solutions that supports future growth and scalability! Responsibilities Oversee and execute the processes for recording revenue, sales allowances, and collections including processing transactions via EDI. Perform month-end close processes including preparing and reviewing complex journal entries, reconciling accounts, and preparing variance analysis reporting. Responsible for recording transactions in ledgers, including scheduled computations of accruals, cost allocations, and reclassifications. Monitor inventory adjustments and returned merchandise. Support the Accounting Manager with accounting, auditing, and tax matters. Prepare various reports and analyses in connection with preparation of financial reports and statements, and in support of questions and specific requests made by other managers. Support treasury functions to include preparation of weekly and monthly wires to vendors. Drive improvements and the ability to scale in our invoice to cash process. Requirements Bachelor''s degree in Accounting, Finance or related field. 2 to 4 years of combined experience in a hands-on operational accounting role in a company delivering physical goods to consumers through a big box wholesale channel. Understanding of treasury functions including digital cash management solutions for both domestic and international partners. Experience using ERP/CRM systems. Experience specifically using Oracle/NetSuite a plus. Experience with Microsoft Office, specifically intermediate to advance knowledge of Excel including lookup functions, pivot tables, other calculation functions. Ability to troubleshoot problems quickly and independently, evaluate the pros and cons of a solution, and implement the final plan concisely and completely. Understanding of GAAP. Thrives in a fast-paced, high growth, small company environment - under pressure and working toward aggressive timelines. Multi-task and meet deadlines while still paying attention to details and executing flawlessly. Ability to collaborate actively and effectively on multidisciplinary teams while driving solutions.
