Silgan Closures Evansville is part of Silgan Holdings'' global closures business, making metal vacuum closures for bottles - jar lids. Duties of an Operator - Production Line are: Successfully operate an automatic strip fed press, lugger, compo machine and oven Load strips into the magazine of the press Complete routine quality checks including inspecting the caps visually and by using automatic gauging equipment Accurately enter data into a computer system Seal and stack full cartons of product Fill out labels for finished boxes Monitor the vision system for defective product Able to work any shift and on weekends. Job Requirements Successful applicants will have a High School diploma or equivalent, Must be available to work 8 hour shifts and weekends. Read, write, comprehend at a high school level. Ability to follow instructions and be a team player. Must be reliable and safety-oriented. Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus. Physical requirements: Must be able to lift, push or pull up to 30 pounds occasionally. Constant standing/walking/bending/stooping/kneeling/twisting/reaching Noise exposure of 85 dBA and higher.
