US Payroll Manager

RESPONSIBILITIES:Kforce has a client in San Mateo, CA that is seeking a US Payroll Manager.Responsibilities: In this role, the US Payroll Manager will prepare and manage the process of Payroll and Employee information according to Wage and Hour Laws, in a timely manner and in compliance with company policy and procedures Maintain and audit payroll and employee records on a regular basis; This includes but not limited to salary changes, basic employee information, new hires, direct deposits, tax forms and other payroll related forms Manage payroll processing for semi-monthly multi-jurisdictional pay runs and statutory reporting for 700+ US Salary/Hourly employees; Review and approve off-cycle manual checks for terminations or other special payments The US Payroll Manager will provide payroll-related forecasting and cash flow planning; Reconcile and fund 401k, FSA/HAS plans Ensure timely compliance with federal and state tax authorities and their required reporting include quarterly 941 and year-end W-2 reporting, etc. Comply with garnishments and process in a timely manner (Child Support, IRS Levies, State Levies, etc.) Manage employee benefit deductions from a payroll processing perspective; Oversee relocation and leave of absence calculations provided by third-party vendors or HR Benefits US Payroll Manager will participate in vendor discussions and provide information that relates to payroll from an employee or Company view, including taxation, W2s, statutory compliance, or any other reporting requirement or impact Work closely with internal IT teams and external software development teams to enhance use of the systems and streamline processing with a focus on data transfer and validation between Workday and ADP Workforce Now US Payroll Manager will responsible for quarter and year-end payroll tax reconciliations; Provide support to all departments as needed for 401k and Workers Compensation audits, review or information requests
