You will work closely with Operations Managers and Inside Sales Reps to ensure deliveries are properly scheduled and executed to guarantee superior customer service. Excellence in this challenging and rewarding position paves the way for advancement opportunities.Additional duties include the following:Oversee dispatch of drivers within the metro-area to maximize efficiency and customer delivery responsivenessMonitor driver progress and adjust schedules as pick-up and delivery orders come inMaximize truck loads outbound and inboundOptimize use of overtime and outside haulers to deliver superior customer serviceAs needed, support branches in maintaining customer relations via phone, making additions, cancellations, and changes regarding equipment location or delivery timeDemonstrate commitment to safety and discipline through exemplary personal compliance, accountability and pro-active communicationPerform all safety inspections within company and governmental policiesOther duties assigned as neededHigh School diploma or equivalentValid driver''s license with acceptable driving recordTechnical knowledge of DOT/Federal Motor Carrier rules and regulationsDiligent attention to safetyStrong ability to multitask in a fast-paced environmentStrong leadership, organization and communication skillsAt United Rentals, the largest equipment rental company, we believe that it takes great employees to build a great organization - and we''re passionate about helping our people grow professionally and embrace teamwork in everything they do.
