We are looking to add a full-time, night shift Internal Patient Transport Supervisor to our Internal Transport team!! Job Summary:Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Guest Services Department. Assesses STAT and sensitive requests for patient transportation services and makes assignments to responsible personnel accordingly. Maintains adequate coverage in all areas of responsibility. Responsible for monitoring and evaluating the activities of the guest Services dispatchers, transporter/couriers, and elevator operators, and making recommendations. Job Responsibilities: Conducts reviews for new hires and promotions as well as conducts discipline and terminations in conjunction with the Manager. Has knowledge of hospital and departmental policies and procedures and ensures compliance. Maintains current employees records and evaluates employee performance in conjunction with the Manager. Responsible for counseling of employees concerning departmental and hospital procedures or problems affecting work performance, in conjunction with the manager. Maintains adequate coverage for departmental functions at all times. Monitors the activities of all department personnel for the shift and prepares shift reports and accounts for any unusual circumstances. Performs duties of Guest Services functions at all times. Assesses and makes decisions regarding the priority of STAT/requests for transportation and courier services. Must comply with the departmental uniform dress code. Coordinates in service training for new employee orientations and staff continuing education. Coordinates the day-to-day operations of the patient transportation, courier services, and information desk functions of the Guest Services Department. Performs other duties as assigned JOB QUALIFICATIONS: Associate degree or two years of college is required. Two years supervisory experience in a health care setting or service organization is required. Previous experience with preparing work schedules and performance evaluations is required. Previous dispatch and/or patient transportation experience is preferred. Must have good verbal and written communication skills is required.
