Summary: The Quality Manager is responsible for the administration and management of all aspects of the plant''s quality management system. Responsibility includes leadership for the Quality Department and management of internal/external relationships relative to quality (including supplier, customer, and regulatory compliance). The primary function is to implement and maintain a total quality management program, including the development, maintenance and improvement of quality plans, documented procedures and equipment that will enable Aalbert''s employees to supply products and services consistent with world-class standards. Accountable to maintain a quality initiative that is preventative and proactive in nature. Key Duties and Responsibilities: Provides supervision, coaching and growth development of Quality Engineers, Technicians, and Inspectors. Performance management to maintain a high-performing team. Manages plant''s warranty claims program and seeks to permanently resolve customer complaints and product issues through systematic problem-solving approach that implements appropriate remedial actions and determines root causes and implements actions to prevent recurrence. Identifies plant-level quality goals aligned with corporate strategic objectives and implement appropriate monitoring techniques and actions to achieve targets. Ensures the identification and timely response and resolution of nonconformances and deviations to established quality systems, policies, procedures, processes and standards. Manages quality improvement processes to ensure on-going reductions in Cost of Poor Quality (COPQ) and escapes. Champion process-improvement initiatives within the Quality department. Maintains the Supplier Quality Assurance program. Monitors the performance of supplier quality/service performance levels. Directs audits of suppliers to assure quality of raw and incoming materials and services are provided. Participates in new product development activities to ensure proper quality assurance and control plans can be implemented prior to beginning manufacturing. Interacts with the functional areas including manufacturing, purchasing, engineering, production, and field service/repair to evaluate failure trends, product quality problems, and quality issues. Evaluates existing quality processes and procedures for effectiveness and improvement opportunities. Oversights the Calibration Lab and all associated employees. Making certain the laboratory is compliant to ISO 17025 standards. Minimum Education, Experience and Qualification: A minimum of seven (7) years of progressively responsible positions in Quality Assurance. A minimum of (2) years of demonstrated success in managing/leading a quality team. ensuring company quality systems, policies, procedures, and processes are followed according to company and customer requirements. Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills. Thorough knowledge of ISO 9001:2015 Quality Management System standard. Experience applying Lean tools and techniques within a manufacturing environment. A change agent that possesses the ability to influence decision making and build critical relationships in a manufacturing organization. Results-oriented with a passion for quality, service, and customer satisfaction. Strong analytical skills and timely decision-making ability. Preferred Education, Experience and Qualification: Bachelor''s degree in Engineering, Engineering Management or Quality Management. Lean certification from a reputable organization or certifying body; preferably (silver-level) certification from the Lean Certification Alliance American Society for Quality (ASQ) Certified Six Sigma Black Belt (CSSBB) American Society for Quality (ASQ) Certified Quality Engineer (CQE) or Quality Manager (CQM) Aalberts integrated piping systems Americas, Inc. is an equal opportunity employer.
