Communications Operator

Olathe Medical Center, Inc, a 300-bed general acute care facility is currently looking for a Communications Operator to join our team. Position Description: Under the supervision of the TeleCommunications Supervisor, the TeleCommunications Operator is responsible for processing all external and internal calls via the PBX Attendant Console, efficiently, accurately and courteously, while being in compliance with all OHSI policies & procedures. In addition, they manage all toll call requests, notifications using various communication devices and resources, event logs and other required documentation, emergency communications and OHSI call schedules. Operators provide updated information for the OHSI Directory and other resources. Position Requirements: Education: High School or GED required Experience: 1 - 3 Years Customer Service, Call Center, Dispatching and/or Clerical / Administrative Experience required. Knowledge, Skills: Microsoft Office - Proven ability to work, at the very least, with basic or beginner level skills in MS Office applications, like Outlook, Word, Excel, etc. required Ability to Multi Task and Prioritize - Proven ability to manage multiple activities including call processing, alarm monitoring and notifications, documentation and crisis management required.
