We are currently sourcing for a Data Engineer to work in Durham, NC!The RoleAs a Senior Data Engineer within Performance & Attribution Tribe, will be building the solutions that the team needs to deliver timely and accurate data via the platform to Fidelity''s Investment Operations!The Expertise and Skills You Bring Bachelor''s Degree in a technical discipline (software development / computer science preferred) required Experience in AWS core services like EC2, RDS, S3 Proven experience as a developer in a data engineering role, using Oracle, PL/SQL, and Informatica (Informatica is a plus) A passion for technology and the financial domain with demonstrated ability to learn quickly Knack for writing clean, testable, readable, and easily maintainable code Ability to work in an Agile software delivery environment, with exposure to continuous integration and continuous delivery tools. Strong commitment to quality, documentation, and engineering excellence Exposure to Python, R, data quality tools, scripting languages, agile development methodology and utPLSQL will be a plus You have a proven track record designing and building complex end-to-end systems Your knowledge of data management technologies allows you to contribute ideas/solutions to take on challenging problems leading large volumes of data in a flexible and performant way Your strong communication skills, written and verbal, are world-class and you are adept at working with many partners to address their needs and educate them on platform capabilities You always ensure your code is of the highest quality through unit testing, code analysis, and generally following standard methodologies Influencing your team and partners with regard to making informed decisions that balance short term costs, speed of delivery, and total cost of ownership Finding creative and efficient solutions to sophisticated data needs and workflows while adhering to a product model mentality to avoid 'one-off'' solutionsThe TeamYou will be a Senior Data Engineer, working as part of a team that develops solutions to support the Performance and Attribution Tribe within Fidelity Fund & Investment Operations Technology (FFIO Tech).
