This is a field position 80% of the time.2. Conducts field spot inspections on ambulances.3. Conducts initial inspection on ambulances and verify they have minimum Essential Equipment as set by the American College of Surgeons.4. May issue citations to operators not in compliance with Chapter 4 Ambulances.5. Appears in court for testimony regarding violations; provides testimony in enforcement hearings.6. Must be cross train and may conduct inspections in Pools, FOG and Food Programs.7. Serves as back up to Supervisor8. Assist in criminal casesWORKING CONDITIONSThis position routinely requires lifting of moderately heavy items (up to 40 pounds) and/or very long periods of walking on rough surfaces on a routine basis. There are occasional exposures to significant levels of heat, cold, moisture and air pollution.
