Senior Data Scientist

Lead data science projects. Lead programs of multiple complex experiments, hypotheses, and models to explore significant and complex issues using machine leaning, NLP, deep learning techniques, and statistical methods. Conduct advanced data analyses using traditional and complex statistical methods as well as machine learning techniques. Design and implement software systems and algorithms to perform analyses on retrospective and real-time data. Aggregate, transform and integrate multiple, large datasets to test hypothesis, model complex systems and identify patterns. Prepare and analyze program/model output to allow for efficient data analysis. Transform complex data and results into creative graphs, tables, charts and other graphics to present and share the data in a compelling and concise manner. Write methodology, analysis and data insights for research papers, proposals and presentations. Synthesize all aspects of a data science project to lead non-technical audiences through the goals, methods and implications of the project. Coach, mentor and teach data analysts, data scientists and others on the methods, processes, and technologies associated with data science and analytics. *This position qualifies for UL LLC''s employee referral policy program.*Master''s degree in data science or computer science and two (2) years of experience in data scienceMust have work experience in each of the following: 1) aspect-based opinion mining and sentiment analysis using NLP tools and deep learning; 2) implemented machine learning techniques, including decision tree, random forest and XGboost for conflict of interest project using python programming language; 3) implemented machine learning based anomaly detection algorithms using python programming language; 4) statistical methods; 5) NLP and deep learning; and 6) Universal product code (UPC) extraction from images using deep learning techniques.UL has COVID-19 protocols and policies in place to ensure the safety of our employees, customers and clients.
