We are looking for a Project Manager to join our tight team. Your role will include creating cost estimates and general operational oversight of various commercial and industrial electrical construction projects. You will focus on one project at a a time, ensuring accuracy scheduling and scheduling so we come in on budget and on schedule - fulfilling our extraordinary customer service commitment. Myers has completed hundreds of transmission and substation projects throughout the Midwest, East and Southeast ranging from 34.5kV through 765kV; and has experience installing a variety of structures ranging from 60'' wood poles up to 400'' steel lattice towers.Duties: Prepare project construction schedulesSubmit "Requests for Information" to clientsManage day-to-day activities of assigned projectsAct as the main point-of-contact for project personnelCoordinate meetings, schedule updates, submit deliverables, and address outstanding open items as requested by clientsPrepare look-ahead documents and weekly, monthly progress reports and billing informationReview and monitor job costs versus budgetsReport regularly to management teamPrepare complete cost estimates (labor and material) for commercial & industrial projects within set deadlinesPerform field take-offs/evaluations for estimate preparationParticipate in the estimate review process with internal and external stakeholdersPrepare bills of material and other information for use by purchasingPrepare complete labor and material cost estimatesSchedule and attend field walk-downs with customers, subcontractors, and construction personnel to understand and determine constructability requirementsCompare various project documents for accuracy and consistencyAssist in the preparation and submission of change ordersCoordinate closely with project managementAssist construction personnel throughout the project lifecycle in tracking and understanding basis of cost estimateRegular and predictable attendanceOther duties as assignedEssential functions of this position are to be performed in a Company-designated office or field locationUnderstand and comply with the Company''s Code of Business Conduct and Ethics Policy and other industry-specific professional and ethical standards, if applicableQualifications:3+ years of scheduling, project management, construction bidding, or estimating experience in military, construction, energy, electrical infrastructure, or utility industry is required.Bachelor''s degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field; combination of relevant education and experience considered in lieu of degreeKnowledge/Skills/Abilities: Knowledgeable with specifications, proposals, and other documentation to prepare time/cost/labor estimates for projects and services Ability and willingness to learn N.E.C and all local codesAble to read and understand civil, architectural, structural, mechanical, etc. plans and specifications to include blueprints, proposals and other documents as they relate to electrical work Computer literate and proficient with Microsoft Office applications Proficient with estimating software such as Accubid or equivalent Ability to prepare construction schedules in Microsoft Project and/or Primavera Excellent analytical, organizational, and verbal and written communication skills Team player who is able to successfully work with diverse internal and external partners Self-driven with the ability to stay on-task for extended periods of timeCompensation & Benefits:Weekly pay via direct deposit Comprehensive benefits package Medical, dental, & vision $15 weekly premium for employee only & employee plus family coverage Low deductibles and out-of-pocket maximums Flexible spending accounts Company-paid short and long-term disability Company-paid life and accidental death & dismemberment Supplemental life and accidental death & dismemberment Critical illness & accident plans Identity theft protection Group legal Auto & homeowners Generous 401(k) Plan 100% match up to 6%; immediate vesting Annual profit-sharing potential Paid time off Vacation Tiered increases based on tenure with the company Holidays (8 per year) Sick time (as applicable) Superior educational assistance program Position may be subject to pre-employment screening, which may include background check and drug testing.
