Learning & Development Manager HITT Contracting is seeking a Learning & Development Manager to manage the overall function of training and development companywide. The ideal candidate is a subject matter expert in both training and organizational development. The L&D Manager will make informed decisions regarding the HITT University program structure, courses and content, employee development programs, and career development initiatives. This position will also serve as an aid to developing training content and materials when needed and requested by various departments within the company. The L&D Manager will report directly to the Director of Human Resources.HITT Contracting is headquartered in the Washington, DC area (Falls Church, VA). Year over year, we are ranked as the top large company to work for in the Washington DC area by the Washington Post.ResponsibilitiesAlign learning and development strategy with the company''s overall business objectivesUtilize industry best practices to best serve employeesCoordinate and develop web-based courses to support our nationwide organizationBuild a robust and sustainable leadership curriculumOversee our annual performance review system and processManage career development initiatives such as nationwide Orientation programs and career pathingEnsure regular training of compliance-related courses companywideAdvise on career development for identified high-potential employeesCreate and deliver HITT-specific courses either as ILTs or web-basedResponsible for researching and developing courses on Construction topics as well as soft skillsAbility to facilitate internal workshops or source external consultantsMaintain L&D and industry knowledge by attending educational events and reviewing publicationsQualificationsBachelor''s degree required5+ years of is requiredTraining/facilitation certification requiredCurriculum design certification a plusKnowledge of fundamental HR principles and practicesHighly proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)Excellent written and verbal communication skillsKnowledge of fundamental HR principles and practicesKeen attention to detail with ability to track and manage multiple projects at one timeAbility to exercise discretion in handling confidential informationEagerness to integrate into a family-oriented, entrepreneurial, and highly demanding work environmentHITT Contracting, Inc. is committed to creating a diverse and inclusive environment.
