Job Description: Responsible for supporting the documentation, integration, troubleshooting and/or testing analysis of real-time embedded systems of advanced radio communications equipment. Responsibilities include working with development engineers to support and recommend resolutions, understanding and applying applicable engineering processes, interfacing with engineering teams and elevating significant problems to appropriate management. Works under general supervision. Recommends enhancements to systems and processes. Works to achieve operational targets for specific programs and projects with moderate impact on departmental results. Additional requirements associated with conducting on-air testing of tactical radios also may apply. These include working outside in virtually all types of weather conditions applicable to the Rochester, NY area and other physical requirements such as occasional lifting and installing of equipment and working in and around vehicles, including driving vehicles utilized for OTA testing.
