JOB DESCRIPTIONThe successful candidate will have 8+ years of progressive experience in purchasing and/or information technology at well-regarded companies of similar or larger scale and complexity to Adient. This person will have a successful record in developing and executing strategies for providing technology enabled capabilities that support purchasing organizations in delivering results and making positive contributions to the bottom line.S/he must have a deep understanding of the purchasing function and its'' objectives as well as the processes, data and systems. This person must also have experience influencing across complex, matrixed organizations.On a personal level, the successful candidate will be an individual of unquestionable integrity who enjoys operating in a hands-on, roll-up-your-sleeves environment. S/he will be a self-starter who is able to work independently in entrepreneurial and fast-paced environments. They will be decisive but collaborative.Position SummaryThe Senior Manager of Procurement Digitization and Analytics will be responsible for managing a Procurement Center of Excellence to improve and digitize business processes and provide analytics and intelligence capabilities that support the global procurement function in executing critical business strategies. The CoE will be responsible for providing the following capabilities to the global purchasing organization - data management and analytics, digital procurement tools, performance management and compliance.The Senior Manager of Procurement Digitalization and Analytics is accountable to partner with the Procurement and IT organizations for delivering world-class processes and solutions. The leader in this role has the opportunity to develop and execute the vision of end-to-end digitalization of Procurement processes. This role also involves close collaboration with the business operations leaders and peers to deliver on breakthrough ideas across the organization.The Senior Manager will be responsible for the successful delivery of spend reporting, detailed savings analysis, macro-economic forecasts and business intelligence capabilities that support the overall procurement team. The role will lead significant amounts of information gathering, master data management, data consolidation and data cleansing activities to establish and maintain the base data sets. The role will then coordinate overall efforts to transform the data to insights through analysis, modelling and heuristics.This position reports to the Director of Purchasing & Supply Chain Center of Excellence.Major responsibilities:Partner with the Procurement business operation leaders to determine opportunities where processes and solutions can drive savings and operational efficiencies.Work with the IT partners to ensure the delivery of world-class solutions for the business processes needed in the end-to-end Procurement functions.Strategically look for ways to improve, leverage and drive the value of the systems and tools.Drive initiatives to bring emerging technologies to solve business problems and manage a project portfolio.Own, manage, and keep current the category spend, supplier and spend performance data in collaboration with the regional business teams as well as global teamsDrive superior capabilities in understanding and applying procurement processes, master data management, tools and input/output content towards managing the procurement spends for best possible current and future costsDevelop a deep level of understanding of the data under analysis, focusing on ensuring the right balance of accuracy and completeness with timely delivery of required informationTranslates data requirements into meaningful report deliverables; partners with various teams to drive development, awareness, and adoption of reports; provides ongoing oversight of report usage and proactively identifies/implements enhancement opportunitiesPartner with procurement co-workers to define requirements, scope analysis and reporting/light-weight analytics specifications, set reporting cadence, and establish data quality and management plansAdheres to team processes in support of report development, tracking, testing, and adoption, as well as training and communication routinesThe successful candidate will also have the follow attributes:Bachelor''s degree in Business, Technical or related field required, Master''s degree preferred8+ years of procurement and/or IT experienceWorking knowledge of purchasing processes and systems (SAP, QAD, Ariba...)Demonstrated effectiveness using collaboration platforms like SharePoint and analytical tools like Power BI, Qlik, etc.High degree of social intelligence to influence at the most senior levels within the organizationAbility to accomplish goals through persuasion and broad influence, while leaning heavily on a transparent, authentic style...able to build consensus and execute cross-functional initiativesCapable of effecting change through others by introducing new ideas/programs and helping them understand their role in implementationStrategic business-mind and ability to see the big pictureSuccessful at prioritizing work and maintaining those prioritiesAble to thrive in an ambiguous environmentPRIMARY LOCATIONCentral Tech Unit Plymouth MI
