We focus on innovative technologies that can improve the way doctors treat people with heart arrhythmias, or irregular heartbeats.The Abbott Global CRM Therapies New Product/Therapy Education Specialist will be responsible for developing training content and programs related to new groundbreaking CRM products/therapies that will be utilized by all healthcare professionals (HCPs) and Abbott Field team audiences.Using agility, creativity, and strong project management skills the incumbent will be responsible to partner with R&D, Marketing, and Clinical teams to identify new procedural techniques and product/therapy needs by trainee, to design global training solutions to meet these needs, and to develop preliminary training content for Abbott''s most novel product and therapies.Leveraging a passion for innovation and training, the individual will establish what Abbott needs to do during in the early development stages to determine how the training for the new products/therapies will look when deployed. This role is global facing and requires the ability to understand the nuances of procedural techniques globally to be able to proactively develop the relevant training content to help foster a single curriculum and a consistent training experience for all trainees.Job Responsibilities:Partner with R&D and Upstream Marketing, as early as possible in the product development life cycle, to identify procedural and product/therapy trainee needs by participating on the core teamParticipate in pre-clinical/clinical activities and directly engage with HCPs to get their procedure/product/therapy feedback first-hand focusing on the user experience (future trainee) perspective Lead the development of comprehensive product launch training for high profile launches that can be deployed into in-person, simulated, or virtual/digital learning environmentsCollaborate with the respective ProfEd and Field training leads/teams to get their feedback on the development of the core training content and proactively plan the hand-off to ProfEd and Field training for a seamless launchPartner with Downstream Marketing to help with launch planning as a significant part of new product/therapy launches will be educationalDeliver new procedure/product/therapy train-the-trainer training to the Global Trainers, Education Specialists and Trainers prior to launchCollaborate with other Education Specialists and Trainers to employ a continuous improvement strategy that supports key business objectives and achieves growth targetsEngage with peers from Abbott divisions as guest speaker on new CRM products and share/ collect best practicesLead and ensure positive customer/trainee/trainer experience and global message consistency at programs and become an expert within the designated therapy on trainee needsPartner with other stakeholders to keep training curricula as globally consistent and standardized as possibleMaintain training content on a continuous basis to keep content relevant and current to meet the needs of the traineeDrive a culture of best practices, technologies, and tools and as appropriate apply those best practices following adult learning techniques and instructional design principlesComply with global regulations and requirements, company policy, operating procedures, processes, and task assignmentsKeep current on developments in the field, specifically on product/therapy knowledge, market, and industry trendsBasic Qualifications:BA/BS degree and 7+ years experience in the design and delivery of training and education programs for medical device industry OR Masters degree and 5+ years experience in the design and delivery of training and education programs for medical device industry.Desired/ Preferred Qualifications:Deep understanding of CRM device therapy and Abbott''s CRM product portfolioFunctional understanding of R&D, Program Management and Marketing functionsStrong CRM procedural background experienceAffinity for educating others and a demonstrated ability to simplify and articulate complex topics effectivelyAbility to contribute with development of simulation training modulesExperience creating multi-media, experiential rich content in blended learning/virtual environmentAbility to apply fundamental concepts to conduct needs assessment and design training programs to meet needsExcellent computer and software skills in graphics, word processing, authoring programs, etc. to develop presentation/training materialsAbility to work in highly matrixed organization and geographically diverse business environmentsAbility to work within a team and as an individual contributor in a fast-paced, changing environmentStrong communication, project management skills to accurately represent project status and deliverables to key stakeholders and managementAbility to resolve issues and meet project deadlinesJob Requirements:Ability to travel approximately 20-30% (domestically and globally).WHAT WE OFFER At Abbott, you can have a good job that can grow into a great career.
