Job Number: 42993Industrial HVAC TechnicianJob Description:We are seeking an experienced Industrial HVAC Technician to join a globally recognized semiconductor company at their Durham NC facility. This position provides an intermediate to high-level skill set in Test and Balance (TAB) of air and hydronic systems. The skill set level for this position has experience in maintaining, repairing, and troubleshooting a wide variety of air handling, exhaust systems, ductwork, and fluid flow equipment associated with industrial HVAC systems in a semiconductor facility. This person will work a base 8-hour shift but must be flexible to assist on off hours when needed. Pay is based on experience.Responsibilities:Perform TAB services for air and hydronic heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) systems in new construction and remodel projectsTest and balance HVAC systems using established NEBB procedures with the company provided testing equipment, manufacturer software, and general math skillsDuties include measuring and adjusting airflows and recording operating data such as current, voltage, rpm, model and serial number, etc.Read and interpret system drawings, specifications, and performance data to analyze system performance for compliance with contract documents. Isolate problems and implement adjustments where necessaryUse, calibrate, and maintain the security of specialized tools including temperature & humidity transmitters, airdata multimeter, hydrodata multimeter, flow hood, pitot tube, tachometer, voltmeter, pressure transducers, etc.Document all test results with true and accurate methods using company documentation proceduresCommunicate any deficiencies or recommendations to the supervisor and client continuously throughout the projectCoordinate closely with other construction trades such as electrical, mechanical, and temperature control contractors, as well as facilities engineersEducation Requirements:High school education or equivalent required. Trade school experience is a plusDesired Background/Skills:Qualifications:3-5+ years of relevant experienceKnowledge and experience with typical HVAC systems, sheet metal, and TAB industry tools preferredProficient in general math skills required to use NEBB Test and Balance formulasAble to maintain a professional appearance and consistently communicate in a clear, professional, and persuasive manner, both verbally and in written communicationsAvailability to serve customer needs by responding quickly and potentially working overtime, and varied shift hours when neededOther Information: Greene Resources is committed to creating a diverse environment and is proud to be an equal opportunity employer.
