Machine Assembly Technician

Job Title: Machine Assembly TechnicianJob Location: Hunt Valley/Cockeysville, MDHourly Rate: Up to $20-24/hr depending on experienceShift: 1st shift: (6:00am - 2:30pm 2nd shift: (2:30pm - 11:00pm) 3rd shift: (10:00pm - 6:30am)Job Summary: We currently have multiple 1st, 2nd, and 3rd shift openings in the Hunt Valley/Cockeysville, MD area for Machine Assembly Technicians to assemble machinery from complex blueprints. Job Description: Assemble machinery from complex blueprints. Work involves working from complex drawings and a considerable number of component parts that require skill and care to align, fit, and assemble into units and obtain exacting operating performance and appearance. Perform assembly operations to exacting tolerances; work with rotating shafts, gear trains, mechanical structures, and sprockets. Measure parts to determine tolerances, using precision measuring instruments, such as micrometers and calipers. Drill, tap, ream, countersink, and spotface bolt holes in parts, using drill press & portable power drill. Position and align parts, using fixtures, jigs, and templates. File, tap, and buff parts to fit, using hand tools and power tools. Disassemble unit to replace parts or to crate for shipping. Clean and lubricate parts and subassemblies. Attach name plates and marks identifying information on parts. Perform basic pneumatic/hydraulic/conduit layout and hook-up. Requirements: High school diploma or GED. Ability to use a wide range of hand and power tools. Must be able to read and work from complex blueprints and specifications to determine component parts and assembly sequence of electromechanical unit. Must have general understanding of complex mechanical assembly. The employee may be required to stand, sit, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl All candidates must be willing to work overtime. Must supply your own hand tools.
